Figures released by StatCounter have revealed that Windows Phone had a 24 percent growth in Europe during the month of July. This new figure, which is over 10 percent up from the preceding two months and this can be attributed to Nokia had released the Lumia 610 and Lumia 900 handset devices.
StatCounter also revealed that France had seen a 29.8% growth for the Windows Phone with the UK had 18.6% growth for July. Microsoft will be encouraged by the stats it has seen as well as its handset partner Nokia. Windows Phone is still trailing behind the likes of iOS and Android in terms of the market share.
Windows Phone only has 1.68% of the market share but these figures suggest it is on an upward trend. Microsoft are set to launch the Windows Phone 8 later this year with new handsets coming from Nokia as well as Samsung and HTC.
