It is being speculated that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be getting the Jelly Bean update earlier than expected. Reports have suggested that this update would arrive in late September or the beginning of October but now it might be available from the 29th August.
Sources have said that the Jelly Bean has completed its testing and that it be showcased on the Galaxy Note 2 at a Samsung press conference. Samsung confirmed this update back in July with rumours circulating on its release date.
Samsung Galaxy S3 will definitely be getting update but whether other handsets will still remains a mystery. It is likely that the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note will be getting Jelly Bean 4.1. Tests are said to be carrying out the Galaxy S2, which has been reported to going very well but Samsung have yet to confirm whether this device will receive the update.
With Galaxy S2 having strong sales across the world, it would suggest it will be getting the update.
